2022 Virtual Conference

Post-Exertional Malaise and Beyond

Join us for the virtual BACME 2022 Conference.

Highlights of the day include:

  • Opening introduction by Carol Monaghan MP and Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for ME
  • Our key-note speaker is Dr David Strain senior clinical lecturer, University of Exeter Medical school, expert in ME/CFS and Long Covid, presenting his thoughts on PEM.
  • There will be a wide range of interactive workshops on many different subjects including PEM, Dysautonomia, Care and Support plans and Patient Partnership
  • There will be an opportunity to hear about service and research innovations combined with networking opportunities
  • Our Patient and Public Involvement work stream have incorporated the patient voice throughout the conference, with thought provoking and innovative music and video presentations.

This event is intended for clinicians who have a role in supporting people with ME/CFS and Long-Covid and other primary fatigue conditions. Places are available for BACME members and non-members.

The BACME 2022 Conference will be run using Zoom. Please make sure you have access to a device which allows you to use Zoom. You do not need a Zoom account to attend the event but you may want to download the Zoom app and create a free account – further details are available from the Zoom website: https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting

Interactive workshops and the lunchtime networking opportunities will operate using Zoom breakout rooms. There is no need to pre-book as you will have free choice of  breakout room at the time of the presentation. Attendees will be sent a more detailed conference programme ahead of the event with full details regarding the presenters and the workshop sessions so you can plan which sessions you would like to attend and co-ordinate with any colleagues who are also attending.
