Which PROMs and PREMs do you use?

Are you reviewing your measures, or have you already undertaken a review?

Which measures do you find to be helpful, and which ones are problematic?

Are you concerned about the patient burden involved in completing multiple measures?

At present, there are no recommended PROMs and PREMs for specialist NHS Services, so in our upcoming ‘A Conversation About…..’ webinar we will be asking:

Would it help you if BACME developed a list of currently used measures?

Do you think we should go further and make recommendations?

If you have an interest in these issues, please join us for our webinar – an open conversation about PROMs and PREMs on Tuesday 20th June, 6-7.30 p.m.

We will present the findings of the NHS Services Survey, and there will be an outline for PROM’s, their purpose and some recent research to support members wanting to progress or change their current reporting measures.  There will also be a short presentation about an outcome measures project led by Prof Sarah Tyson of Manchester University, funded by the M.E. Association. Prof. Tyson would like BACME involvement in the project, so if you’d like to take part, please do come along to the webinar.

Presenter Bio:

Professor Sarah Tyson
Professor Tyson trained as a physiotherapist at Sheffield Hallam University in the early 80’s, Clinical work specialising in neurological rehabilitation in the UK and New Zealand led to MSc in Rehabilitation Studies at Southampton University and then teaching physiotherapy at Brunel University where she also completed her PhD in stroke rehabilitation. She moved Back Up North to Manchester in 2001 working first at the University of Manchester and then the School of Health Sciences at the University of Salford, where she was the Associate Head of School for research and led the Rehabilitation Research Group. She joined the University of Manchester in 2012. She has over 100 publications and £4million of research funding from the Dept of Health, NIHR, research councils, medical charities, professional bodies and the Knowledge Transfer Partnership/Technology Strategy Board.
